Beginners‘ course
The beginners‘ course is a two day affair with a maximum of four participants. Day one you will receive a half-day introduction in the theory of fly fishing (tackle, knots and natural food organisms) and a half-day instruction on beginning casting techniques. The course takes place in Emmerich, and we will practice casting techniques on a lake, not on a meadow.
Duration: 4 hours theory, 4 hours casting; 8am – 5pm with one hour lunch break
Day two we meet in Emmerich and travel together (approximately 30 minutes) to a catch and release trout pond in the Netherlands. There we spend 8 hours fishing and hope that you will be able to experience your first hits on the lure. The rainbow trout are topping 2kg!
This course is also suitable for participants not in possession of a German fishing license.
Duration: 7am – 5pm with one hour lunch break

For parent – child pairs we give the second person a 50% discount on the cost of the course
Refining Fly Casting Skills
One day events, conducted in hourly individual instruction. Meet in Emmerich and drive together to the Netherlands for the course. (Including transfer)
